PRIMARY CHILDREN'S MEDICAL CENTER

So a couple of days ago I noticed Kade was developing a cough. I didn't think much about it until I went over to my sisters house and she said he was wheezing. So we decided to just watch him throughout the day and as the day went by he progressively got worse and worse. So up to Primary's we went. They got Kade back to a room and did some breathing treatments to try and get him doing a little better. After a couple of hours they couldn't get his oxygen level where it should be so they decided that he needed to stay. So they got us a room and we have been there for the last few days. I was nervous that he had RSV but they think it is more of an asthmatic problem even though they don't like to diagnose asthma till he gets a little older. They said he has some sort of a viral pneumonia which probably triggered the asthma like symptoms. They have been giving him some albuterol treatments which they say usually make babies very jittery but every time they did a treatment it made Kade fall asleep. Alan and I both would like to be able to take some of the albuterol home so when he won't sleep we can just give him some and poof problem solved. Last night they took him of the oxygen and his levels have been staying where they are suppose to be. He also isn't so congested and the wheezing has stopped. He is starting to breathe a lot better so hopefully we will be able to go home today. We are all missing Ali. When she came up and visited yesterday Kade was so excited to see her. All he wanted to do was be by her. We hope that this has solved the problem and we won't be back later this cold, flu, and RSV season. We want to thank everyone for being so concerned for Kade. We really appreciate all the love and support. Thanks Sandy for coming to the hospital with me and for taking Ali. Thanks mom for coming and sitting with Kade for awhile so Alan and I could have some time to leave, take a shower and collect a few items from home. Also we would like to thank all the Doctors, nurses, and staff that have helped with getting Kade better.

I hate that! It can be scary when they can't breathe! Karah gets croup pretty bad and we sometimes have to take her in. Not fun! Especially with a baby!

About Me

My photo
I love being a mom. My kids are my world. I love the sweet spirit they bring into our home. Alan and I have been married for 11 years, I can't believe it has been that long. It seems like no time has past at all. I am truly grateful that I married my best friend. He is my rock!!! My kids are so amazing, they teach me new things every single day. As for my hobbies I love to scrapbook although I haven't done any since before Kade was born, I love to dance and seem to have passed that gene to my daughter. I love to sing when no one is around. I love when my house is clean and the laundry is done and I have nothing but time to just play and hang out with my children (this doesn't happen nearly enough). I love watching my kids discover new things and watching them play together. I am so very grateful for the life I have and the people I get to share it with.
