Watch out....Here we come!!!

For our 10th Anniversary (which isn't until September) we decided to go on a cruise and spend a couple days in Orlando.  So on April 22nd we kissed our kids goodbye and headed to the airport where we met up with our friends the Vincents and their friends the Olsen's for our trip.  When Alan and I had gone to Orlando for our 1st anniversary our highlight was Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure.

So we decided that was a must for this trip also.  So the next morning the Olsen's headed to the Kennedy Space Center while the rest of us headed for Islands of Adventure.  We had sooo much fun!!!  It was great to just let loose and in a way act like kids again.  We ran into Popeye and Olive Oil, two of my childhood favorites, and could not resist getting our pictures taken with them.  The park has some of the most amazing roller coasters, our favorite has to be the Incredible Hulk, it takes you through a dark tunnel and shoots you out at 60 mph which is a total shock. This time around they had a new roller coaster which takes a very close 2nd place.  It was called Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.  You climb straight up 17 stories and then tops out at a speed of 65 mpg.  You also get to pick your own music to listen to while enjoying the ride.  They also have a coaster called the Dueling Dragons, my first experience with this ride 9 years ago freaked me out.  The ride has two different coasters going at the same time, at one point the dragons (coasters) come very close to one another and it scared me a little bit.  But this time I was prepared for what was coming and loved every second of the ride.  While we were walking around the park the Superheros came out on their ATVs, the kids would have loved to see that.  Sadly I don't know the names of any of them besides Spider Man which I didn't even get a picture of.
That night after leaving Islands of Adventure we headed out to find something for dinner.  I had suggested that wings sounded good and the boys started trying to get the girls to agree to Hooters.  Lucky for us we found a different wing place called Flyer's.  It was awesome.  The wings were by far the best I have ever had.  I was a little scared at first because it was a total, hole in the wall, dive of a place but it turned out to be great.  Our waitress who has been on many cruises also gave us some awesome insight to what we should do at our different ports.  So next time any of you are in Orlando I would suggest finding Flyer's, you won't be disappointed.

About Me

My photo
I love being a mom. My kids are my world. I love the sweet spirit they bring into our home. Alan and I have been married for 11 years, I can't believe it has been that long. It seems like no time has past at all. I am truly grateful that I married my best friend. He is my rock!!! My kids are so amazing, they teach me new things every single day. As for my hobbies I love to scrapbook although I haven't done any since before Kade was born, I love to dance and seem to have passed that gene to my daughter. I love to sing when no one is around. I love when my house is clean and the laundry is done and I have nothing but time to just play and hang out with my children (this doesn't happen nearly enough). I love watching my kids discover new things and watching them play together. I am so very grateful for the life I have and the people I get to share it with.
